Beginner's Sun-Sign Track
In addition to the regular schedule of 15 topic-centered tracks, Saturday, May 26th, features a special beginner-level Sun-Sign Track. The Sun-Sign Track is a one-day-only, full-day program which allows astrological beginners to hear lectures from some of astrology's leading speakers on entry-level topics.
The Sun-Sign Track has separate registration, for those who do not wish to attend the remainder of the conference. However, registration for the main conference (either the full conference, or at the daily rate) includes the Sun-sign Track in your registration.
The Sun-Sign Track will run on Saturday, May 26th, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Below is the program, with the time of each lecture.
Susie’s Sun Signs
Susie Cox
Saturday, May 26, 2012, 9:00 AM - 10:15 AM
Do you know the Sun Signs? I mean Really know them! I thought I knew them too until I wrote the book,
Susie’s Sun Signs, and now realize there is so much more to them. I guarantee you that your
interpretations will be enhanced by a better sense of the basic building blocks, the signs. If you want a modern, positive,
fresh approach to the basics of astrology, this is the lecture for you.
Mars and Venus: The Internal Battle of the Sexes
Christian Borup
Saturday, May 26, 2012, 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM
If men are from Mars and women from Venus, where are you from? A thought-provoking lecture about Action
and AttrAction. Mars and Venus are always two sides of the same coin, and therefore contain so much more information than
just the polarities of war and peace, masculine and feminine, animus and anima, repulsion and attraction, push and pull.
They always work in tandem. Together they hold the key to your intrinsic needs for closeness and the way you reach out to
get it. A deeper understanding and better balancing of Mars and Venus in any chart will open new vistas to personal
fulfillment, love and chart interpretation.
Understanding the Planets: From Moon to Pluto
Rick Levine
Saturday, May 26, 2012, 2:30 PM - 3:45 PM
As astrologers we learn as much as much as we can about the signs. But the signs are just one part; they are brought to
life by the planets as they move around the zodiac. This lecture covers the ten planets, their basic symbolism, and how
they impact our lives. Whether you are a beginner or a more advanced student, there will be many useful tidbits for all
in this general overview of the planets.
Aspects and Major Configurations
Erin Sullivan
Saturday, May 26, 2012, 4:30 PM - 5:45 PM
This lecture shows the various combinations of planets in a "grand" formation: Grand Cross; T-square; Grand Trines;
Yod; Kite configurations, and their relationships. Aspect literally means "look at," thus each planet is looking at
another in a particular fashion, seeing a particular view, and manifesting that in myriad ways. The major configurations are
tight and harmonic, and act like conversations between the planets, sometimes a dialogue, others a closed circuit, some are
a profound confrontation. All are operative in the psyche, and all manifest in personality, ways of thinking, methods of
communications, and perception. A very in-depth look at the meaning of the major configurations as inner agents of perception
and response.
