During such a "temporal vortex," individuals having lived in different eras of Earth’s history will be able to move back and forth in time to briefly encounter each other.
At least according to the claims of Lutin, Gloria Star and the entire UAC committee. They are insisting that such a time-warp thing will occur in the early evening of May 26, 2012 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
They are calling the event:

A Post-Apocalyptic Time-Travel Musical Evening
