All Org Day at UAC 2012
"All Org Day" is a special feature of UAC 2012, in which various organizations will present their own pre-conference workshops on a variety of topics. All Org Day will be held on Wednesday, May 23rd. Below are summaries of the programs the participating organizations are offering.
Registration for these programs is separate from your UAC registration and is handled by the respective organizations. You must register with the individual organization for any program that you wish to attend. Use the links provided to visit the organzation's website for additional information and to register for their program.
American Federation of Astrologers (AFA)
AFA will host an all-day program with morning and afternoon sessions. The morning session will feature
a presentation and discussion about unity in the diverse astrological community. A 1938 movie, When You
Were Born, produced by long-time AFA member Manly Palmer Hall, will be shown in the afternoon session.

National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR)
(Morning:) Presentation Skills for Astrologers, with Frank Piechoski
Would you like to lecture at your local group or at regional, national and international conferences? If you already lecture,
would you like to improve your presentation skills? Then this is the workshop for you. This session will walk attendees through
the process of structuring a cohesive lecture, using visual aids effectively, and performance tips that will help you get your
material across. If you’d like to speak at a future UAC -- or any other conference -- this workshop will help you obtain and
develop the skills needed to impress those who select speakers.
(Afternoon:) The Living History of Astrology in New Orleans
A walking tour that will have us visit the astrological sites in our hosting city, so that we see the astrology alive
on the streets of New Orleans. Charts of important political and historical figures and events will be provided along
with the horoscope for the city, itself, for a discussion on the mundane astrology of New Orleans to follow our tour.

NCGR Professional Astrologers' Alliance (NCGR PAA)
The Practice & Profession of Astrology
Some of the leading professional astrologers in the astrological community will present in this
panel discussion what the working astrologer needs to know from first contact with the client to the follow up consultation
and beyond. On the human side of the practice of astrology, we will help you develop consulting skills to communicate with
the client more effectively and compassionately. On the business side of the practice, we will help you with marketing strategies,
publicity measures, rates, payment policies and what you need to know to run a successful career in astrological consulting.
As part of the "how to" of becoming a professional astrologer, we will discuss the advantages of mentoring and
what a mentor can do to help you strengthen your consulting skills. And we will discuss the benefits of certification and
the details of our own Certification Exam & Program, the prize jewel of NCGR-PAA. Our presenters will include
Madalyn Hillis-Dineen, Joyce Levine, John Marchesella, Maria Kay Simms and Shirley Soffer, as well as you, our student
and participants in a question and answer forum.

Organization for Professional Astrology (OPA)
A peer group is composed of consulting astrologers who meet in order to discuss specific
astrological consultations. Join us to experience this powerful, groundbreaking model that will transform your
consultations! Four presentations in first part of the day will address what it means to be a professional astrologer.
Then OPA will set up experiential peer work in small groups in the afternoon.
